What will happen if I accidentally press my pendant and send an alarm?

If you trigger an alarm by accident, that is perfectly fine. Once an alarm has been triggered, you can push the cancel button within 10 seconds to stop the Alarm from coming through to INS LifeGuard.

If you miss the window to cancel the alarm, that is perfectly fine, and we are more than happy to have a chat with you and make sure that everything is going well. Just let us know that it was an accident and we will close it out for you without any fuss or issues.

Don't stress that you are bothering us and causing issues. We look at it as you testing and making sure everything is working well and are happy that everything is ok.

We recommend that you do not cancel the alarm and just let it go through. This can then be treated as a test alarm, thus confirming that your device and pendant are working correctly. In fact, even if you do cancel the alarm, our nurses may still check on you just to be sure you're OK.
