What is the range of my wrist or pendant transmitter?

All transmitters supplied by INS LifeGuard are manufactured to comply with Australian Standards AS 4607. This includes a range of up to 50 metres in open space (depending on the type of transmitter) which in many cases includes the entire home, the front and back garden, and sometimes further.

We recommend that you test the range of the transmitter inside your home. To do so, take it to various rooms in the home, including the furthest location away from the base unit, and push the button to trigger an alarm. You should hear the unit activate, and our nurse will speak to you over the unit. This will also enable you to check the call volume, become familiar with using our system, and get to know our friendly nurses.

Please note that range is subject to a number of different environmental factors, such as the type of building materials used in your home, or even electrical appliances.
