What is the range of my wrist or pendant transmitter?

Across all of the different Personal Alarms that INS LifeGuard can provide, we ensure that all of the transmitters are manufactured to comply with Australian Standards AS 4607.

This includes a range of up to 50 metres in open space (depending on the type of transmitter). Some homes may get all of the home, front and back garden and even a few houses down the street. Others may only get their front and back garden.

We recommend that you test the actual range of the pendant inside of the home by taking it to the furthest locations in the house and the common areas that you are worried that an issue may arise in, such as the bathroom and bedrooms, and push the button to trigger an alarm to ensure that the Alarm is activating. As a bonus action you can check on the call volume while doing these tests and see how easy it will be to communicate with the Nurses.

Please note that range is subject to a number of different environmental factors, such as the type of building materials used in your home, or even electrical appliances.
