What do the lights and colours on my SmartHome LGX mean?
Your SmartHome LGX uses several indicators to show its status. This guide explains each light and colour so you can quickly identify issues.
Power LED (Green)
- Solid Green – Unit powered on and working normally
- Flashing Green – Running on battery
- Off – No power
Fault LED (Orange)
Indicates a condition needing attention:
- Solid Orange – System fault
- Flashing Orange – Low battery, network/GSM issue, device fault, or accessory supervision fault
Signal/Battery Bars
Indicates:
- White - Mobile signal strength
- Orange - Battery level during power failure
More bars = stronger signal / higher battery.
HELP Button Backlight Colours
- Light Blue – Ready/idle
- Green – Call in progress or recently activated. Disappears after ~10 minutes.
- Red – Alarm active
- Purple – Programming/transmitter learning mode
- Yellow – Inactivity timer active or expired
When to contact INS LifeGuard
If you see:
- Persistent orange fault light
- No signal (0 bars)
- Frequent battery warnings
