# Understanding the lights and display codes on your SmartLink Medi-Guardian MKII

## Your SmartLink Medi-Guardian MKII uses several indicator lights and codes to show its status. This guide explains what they mean.

**Power & Battery**

- **MAINS ON (Green)**
  
    - **Solid** – Connected to power
    - **Flashing** – Power failure; running on backup battery
- **BATTERY LOW (Red)**
  
    - Flashes when battery is low, not charging properly or the Battery switch is off.

**Alarm Indicators**

- **HELP slow flash** – Alarm has been received
- **HELP rapid flash** – Alarm being sent

**When to call INS LifeGuard**

If indicators persist after a reset or charging:

- Network loss
- Repeated low battery
- Any fault code that doesn’t clear
