Why does my LifeGuard SmartTracker only tell me the time?

To trigger an Alarm via the LifeGuard SmartTracker you need to push and hold the SOS button on the front for 2-3 seconds. Upon successful activation of the Alarm the SmartTracker will announce that an SOS alarm has been activated, push SOS to cancel.

If you do not hold the SOS button in for long enough, or just push it briefly, it will announce the current time for you.
