How to Unpair and Return Your INS LifeGuardian® Watch
An INS LifeGuardian® Watch is provided by INS LifeGuard on a lease term and is required to be returned to INS LifeGuard in the event your INS LifeGuardian® monitoring service is no longer required. If not returned within 30 days of cancellation there will be applicable fees.
The watch will need to be unpaired and unlinked to your account prior to returning to INS LifeGuard. If the watch is not unpaired and returned, or if the watch is lost or damaged beyond repair, there may be applicable fees, which may include the full replacement / recovery cost of the device.
Please follow the steps below to properly unpair the watch before sending it back to INS LifeGuard. The Activation Lock MUST be removed.
Apple Watch
To unpair and erase Apple Watch from the paired iPhone:
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap All Watches at the top of the screen.
- Tap the “i” button
next to the watch you want to unpair, then tap Unpair Apple Watch. - Tap again to confirm, then wait for the watch to unpair. Your Apple Watch is erased and removed from your iCloud account, Activation Lock is removed, and your watch is ready to be set up again.
Galaxy Watch
To unpair and erase Galaxy Watch from the paired Phone:
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Phone
- Tap Watch Settings.
- Tap General, tap Reset, and then tap Reset again to confirm.
How to Return the Watch
Please return the watch in its original packaging, if possible, and protected in a padded bag or carton. Be sure to include a note with your name so we know who returned it.
